SHANE FRENCH

// vocals / guitar

Shane has been part of many rock, folk, experimental and soul bands over the years, playing at festivals including Wooodford, Yackandandah, Mount Beauty, Maldon, Peats Ridge and Folk Rhythm Life, and shared stages with Liz Stringer, Jeff Lang, Matt Walker, Magic Dirt, The Seven Ups, Mick Thomas, Shane Howard, Mal Webb, and many more.

Loosely classifying his style as “Folk N’ Roll”, Shane writes music about politics, society, the environment and personal reflections as well as the occasional song about nothing much in particular.  He draws his musical inspiration from artists such as Ani Difranco, Paul Kelly, Midnight Oil, Tracy Chapman, Sinead O’connor, P J Harvey, Newton Faulkner and Bob Dylan, people have also said they hear a bit of Billy Bragg in there too.

BRYAN CRACKNELL

// drums

Bryan is a professional drummer who has been plying his trade since the late 80's. Playing a huge variety of styles with ensembles, bands and even orchestras.

Studying under local identities such as Tony Floyd, Craig Beard and Michael Barker to name a few. Bryan has helped develop the passions and skills of new generations of drummers both privately and through the education system.

After a hiatus to do the marriage and kids thing, he has hit the ground running with Keep Left, gleefully annoying the family with endless paradiddles and solo drum sessions in between band jams.
